ERASMUS+ makes a significant contribution to shaping the European Education Area
and supports the implementation of the Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda.

In the field of vocational education and training, Erasmus+ supports cross-border cooperation between vocational training institutions
and other organizations related to vocational education. It funds mobility opportunities for students in initial vocational training,
apprentices, as well as teachers and trainers in vocational education. Stays are possible throughout Europe and also worldwide.

Erasmus+ also has a systemic impact, as it strengthens the sustainable horizontal internationalization of the Austrian education system
– from early childhood education through all types of schools and higher education institutions to adult education.
It supports national education policy priorities, promotes transparency and recognition tools, and fosters Europe-wide networks.
In addition, the program includes excellence initiatives.
